Abdulrahman Ramadan
Quran & Islamic Studies Teacher
I am Abdulrahman Ramadan, a Quran and Islamic Studies teacher with a strong background in Quranic studies, Islamic sciences, and teaching. I graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Department of Islamic Studies in English, with a Very Good grade with Honors.
My journey with the Quran began at a young age. I memorized the entire Quran when I was 10 years old, and at the age of 11, I received an Ijazah in the narration of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
I continued my studies at the Qira’at Institute, completing the levels of Tajweed and Advanced Qira’at studies. I also hold an Ijazah in the Ten Qira’at and an Ijazah in Hadith. In addition, I have studied various Islamic sciences through courses at the Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah, including Fiqh, Aqeedah, Usul al-Fiqh, and Islamic Logic.
My teaching experience
I have more than six years of experience teaching the Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies in both Arabic and English.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students of different ages, backgrounds, abilities, and levels. Some of my students started from the very beginning, learning the Arabic alphabet and the basic rules of reading. With consistent teaching and follow-up, they progressed to reading the Quran confidently and, in many cases, memorizing portions of it as well.
I have also had the honor of achieving first place in several Quran competitions and have served as an Imam in mosques.
My teaching approach
My approach is based on making learning simple, structured, practical, and enjoyable. I use modern teaching methods to keep students engaged and simplify difficult concepts so they are easier for students to understand and apply.
However, I know that every student is different, so I try to understand their individual needs, level, learning style, and goals at the outset. I then build a structured learning plan and continuously monitor their progress.
I believe a successful Quran teacher should not only impart knowledge, but should inspire their students to love the Quran and enjoy the learning experience.
For this reason, I try to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment. I encourage and motivate my students, celebrate their progress, and help them overcome difficulties without making them feel pressured or afraid of making mistakes.
Experience with children and students with disabilities
I have experience of teaching both children and adults, and I tailor my approach to suit each age group.
I have worked with students with different learning needs, including those with autism and students who are blind. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, clear communication, and adapting the teaching method to each student’s abilities.
My goal as a teacher
I strive to go beyond simply helping students to read the Quran correctly.
I want every student to develop a meaningful, life-long connection with the Quran: to understand what they are reading and reciting, improve their Islamic knowledge, and continue learning and growing.
